Dr Frederic Chua

Dr Frederic Chua graduated from the University of Melbourne. Dr Chua has accumulated broad veterinary experience across military, government, and specialist sectors since 1987. He headed the aquatic animal health section of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority before serving as curator of Underwater World Singapore. His clinical interests span exotic pets, fish, marine mammals, and small animal medicine. In the course of his career, he has discovered two novel fish viruses, was awarded the Highland and Agricultural Society silver medal, and served on the expert consultation panel on aquatic health under the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.
