Who we are
The Fetch (thefetch.pet) is a Singapore-based pet health publication and veterinary directory. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
What we collect
We collect information in the following circumstances:
Contact form submissions. When you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. If you submit a story tip or business enquiry, we may also collect a URL you provide.
Analytics and site behaviour. We collect data about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, time on site, referring sources, and on-page interactions such as clicks and scrolling. Some of this is aggregated — for example, heatmaps showing where visitors click on a page. We also record individual browsing sessions to understand how the site is used; these recordings capture mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, but text you enter into forms and other sensitive information is automatically masked and not recorded. This data is not used to identify you personally or to build personal profiles.
Cookies. We use cookies to support analytics and site functionality. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or serve targeted advertising.
How we use your data
Data collected through the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.
Analytics data is used to understand how our content is being used and to improve the site. It is not used to build personal profiles.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as is necessary to address your enquiry, and periodically reviewed and cleared. Analytics data is retained for a limited period in anonymised form.
Third-party services
The Fetch uses the following third-party services, each of which processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
Vercel — site hosting and infrastructure.
Resend — email delivery for contact form submissions.
Cloudflare — DNS, security, and bot protection (including Turnstile).
Google Analytics — aggregate website analytics.
Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session recordings used to understand how the site is used.
We do not use Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking tools.
Your rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, and to request corrections if that data is inaccurate. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Children
The Fetch is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
